Martiri di Toledo (Eusebio di Gesù Bambino e 15 Compagni)

Father Eusebius of the Child Jesus (Ovidio Fernández Arenillas) and the entire Community of Discalced Carmelites of Toledo, suffered martyrdom between the months of July and September 1936, during the religious persecution experienced in Spain in the 30s. To the cry of Long Live Christ the King and forgiving from the heart those who killed them, they offered an example of fidelity to Jesus Christ. Their names are: Fr. Eusebius of the Child Jesus, Br Joseph Augustine of the Blessed Sacrament, Br Hermilo of St Eliseus, Br Eliseus of Jesus Crucified, Br Perfecto of the Virgin of Carmel, Br Clement of the Sacred Hearts, Br Constantine of St Joseph, Br Joseph Mary of the Sorrowful Virgin, Fr Nazario of the Sacred Heart, Fr. Peter Joseph of the Sacred Hearts, Fr. Raymond of the Virgin of Carmel, Br Melchior of the Child Jesus, Br Félix of the Virgin of Carmel, Br Placid of the Child Jesus, Br Daniel of the Sacred Passion, Fr. Tirso of Jesus Mary.

The decree of martyrdom was promulgated on April 28, 2006. The beatification ceremony was held on October 28, 2007.
